uglier? , it looks a lot better to me ,especially comparing to z3 compact.
and from pixel counting it has the almost same ratio(for thickness) as like z3 to z3c.

From the sides the Z5C looks more appealing (at least for me) than its predecessor. It is also quite a bit thicker than the Z5 which gives the rumor of OIS more weight.

The Z5C looks like it has better build quality. I'm wondering if it has all metal or a plastic edge surround and a lanyard holder.

I think they look good. Since this year is the transition year, 2016 will be pretty great for Sony. The tube design can be seen partially. Next year we'll have better SoC and hopefully Z5 Ultra as hiuyi stated. These are good step.

^ Yup, You're definitely right. Xperia Z,Z1,Z2,Z3 all look ugly on previous leaks but they are very beautiful when they're announced

Both look slightly thicker then z3 and z3c, less fragile, more seamless, the top and bottom bezel look symmetrical.

Sorry to disappoint, huyi talked about a main flag for 1h 2016. no mention of ultra.
