Well, it will not appear in Sweden, as the shops want to "stock up" so they have enough to sell before the frenzy fades. This is something "3" is planning to do here, so i guess the rest too.

Am I missing something here. But why has no one commented on the overpricing going on.
I mean cummon £600 for this thing!!!!! Its twice as much as the m600, way more than its closest competitor. While I would love one, I cannot justify spending £600 of mine or anyone elses money on it.
£600 is a realistic SIM free early adopter price they will almost certainly have been sourced via the middle east and will not have been tested on the big uropean networks, prices will drop very quickly in the comming weeks as soon as European network tested versions start to become available. Anyone buying one of these devices SIM free as soon as they become available is IMHO wasting good money and taking a risk, they will be forever upgrading firmware with all the risks and agro that entails.
Take my advice wait a couple of months after it becomes available, things will have settled down a bit by then and you will be able to moitor the problem areas of the device via ESATO

I think you have wrong all the way. I think the price will be stable and the firmware will be stable to, its why se have tryed out the device the past couple of months.
The price will not change from 6000kr (638 EUR) to under 5400kr (574 EUR) for the first month or months. And firmware are so easy to upgrade. Will it be any major problem just leave your p990i in for service, it´s on warranty.
They will not change any hardware devices only software if necessary.
This is the price you will pay if you want to have the latest first, and this price is cheap.
If you want to wait a couple of month be my guest.
For me se and nokia stands for quality and no one can compare with the scandinavian quality in my opinion...

To me, but I'm far from an expert, that sounds like a strange strategy. If the demand is higher than the supply - simply raise the price.
Anyway, if the larger shops really are doing this, it would create a market opening for others to sell units at a higher price. There is always people willing to pay extra to be among the first.
My guess, and I don't have anything to back it up either, is that we will get reports here of people getting normal retail units at the end of this coming week. And I also think that some of them will be Swedes.
