How did you get R1JG? FOTA, SEUS or Wotan?

Through FOTA

I haven't encountered any symptom that nats168 told us although we are of the same R1JG001 CHINA WI APAC. While texting, I get the backlight lights up just normally although I'm idle for say, 2 seconds. Hm, what's up anyway. I got my R1JG from SEUS after a full reflash with Wotan R1JC002. Does it matter? BTW, @nats168 how did you get R1JG? SEUS or FOTA? That may explain the reason.

I think I found a difference in R1JG001...

I noticed the Text Version has been changed...

I think when i used to type I'll it looked like this: l'll, but now the lower case L's have little things on the bottom, so you can distinguish between I & l...

If this is true i think it is worthy of being on the differences list on post 1, maybe under improvements.

Can anyone with the old version confirm or deny this finding? Thanks

I have two K800i phones right now -- one I just updated to R1JG through SEUS, another still with R1GB.

There's no difference with the fonts.

SEUS. Already tried it thrice while deleting the flash file cache every single time.

So far its been a week now since I upgraded the firmware to R1JG and I havent experienced any of the problems posted since then. Although, I found some minor bugs, nothing big though, but SE might consider them in the next upgrade. One of them is after capturing a video and play them for the first time, there are vertical lines showing up, but playing them the second time it doesn't show up anymore. The other one is the camera for the video conferencing will blink in high yellow before it will turn to its normal color and brightness.

In my opinion, I think the best way to do a firmware upgrade is the sequential upgrade or incremental upgrade.

Well it depend. As long as your firmware works OK then I agree. But incremental upgrade may not fixed problem where the problem occurs in part of firmware that is not get updated.
