Does anyone know if Qualcomm really plans to bring the overclocked version of 845?

I read an article that said about it, that Sony might have it.
Because one benchmark ( those we dont know if is real or fake) had multicore of almost 8700.
The base frequency is 1.97GHz instead of 1.77 like XZ2.

Now another article that says Pixel 3 has SD846.
Also camera with DRAM.

I'm going to have to imagine that Sony will up their DRAM game on the new camera module. I can't see them having the same amount of memory as last years module.

It would be nice if they also improved the software to match.

I do not think that they increase the capacity of DRAM memory this year. DRAM memories are very expensive, they would have to double the capacity to get double the time.
I think the current priority is to implement the Fusion ISP which is much more promising than simply improving a function that already exists.

I hope I'm wrong and that they include the ISP and 2GB of DRAM, but it will not be an expectation for me.

Well the current is 1gb (I could be wrong) and yes I meant gigabit. Don't think they would go for 2GB

I wonder how that would work with the dual cam. The DRAM has to be built into the sensor for the fast read/write, no? Well would each sensor of the dual cam have its own DRAM that that could work in tandem? Or would only 1 sensor get it?

Well I'm not really sure.but you're right about fast readout. Guess we'll see soon hopefully. Wish I could get more info from my friend.

Btw can the DRAM be one big piece behind both sensors working for both?guess that would be unpractical

Well, I'm still curious about this IMX600 sensor and what the chances are of it being used in the dual cam setup. Is it being used exclusively by Huawei, or is Sony able to use it in their devices too?

Plus I'm wondering if Sony will just go dual cam, or add a third cam like Huawei? Maybe quad-cam?

Am I the only one who's not impressed by P20 pro 40MP camera judging by DXO mark and some other results?
It might be my low res monitor though. Not as detailed as I would like.

P20 Pro camera is on pair with current flagships and nothing more that that, nothing special.

P20P x XZ2

Night samples of P20p are impressive, daily samples are not.
In my opinion it has more noise that I would expect from a big sensor.

DxO is lost after changing protocol.
Top 10 has 1 phone without Optical Zoom, Pixel 2.

If they ignore Background Defocus app, it is almost impossible for XZ2 to score more than 95.
