On HP website, it says Up to 128MB discrete + 128MB shared memory for >= 512MB system memory. Does that mean it will use 128 MB of the video memory from the system RAM ? If it does it sucks...
we have to wait mr Half-computer half-human to verify this (shyam)

thats right...it has 128 dedicated (independent) and 128 sucked from the ram-thats why its called hyper memory or turbo cache (right?) has had said something about it
so is the ati 128+128 as well?

Nvidia's Turdo cache n Ati's Hyper MEM mean the same thing...Half of it is dedicated n the other half will be used 4m the avalible RAM.
512MB HYPER MEMORY means 256 dedicated n 256 shared with the comp's RAM which ain't so bad cause RAM is upgradeble.
Niru...my A100-237 has a X1600 256 dedicated which is better than X1300; X1400; 7400; X1600 & 7600 Turbo & hyper 512 MB...its as good as 7600 256 dedicated but not as good as the same with 512 MB hyper/turbo.
Sorry 4 not being very clear...this is as clear as 8
I can get using the slid keyboard of the K-JAM.
