the white paper lists the BST-32 as the battery that comes with the P990 and mentions the BST-32 has 1120mAh

it lists the BST-34 as an available accessory

there is no mention of the BST-33 but it doesn't surprise me that it really does come with the P990 as well as K800 and M600 etc

For UK buyers

http://www.foneplanet.com have just confirmed their Orange contract P990s will not be Orange branded.

Do they actually have any stock then? I notice they claim to on their site.

@sleepyhead

foneplanet.com don't have stock until the end of the week.

Their web site is confusing as it seems to say both only for pre-order and in other places seems to say they it is in stock.

Hi masseur, I am really concerned about this battery capacity of P990i... is SE really that confident that the P990i with integrated video recording and 2MP camera, 3G data and video phone calls, plus the ever ever power hungry WiFi, only requires a mere 950mAh to operate and can last as long as the P910i, which incidentally, has a 1260mAh battery to start with?

I'm curious about that too

I also vaguely remember some threads where some P910 owners got a 1000mah battery rather than the standard you mention

It seems to be a new version of BST-33 thou... The V800 i have had also had a BST-33 and the batterytime was at top 2 days with my heavy using of it... If i run Jimm (ICQ-client) on it it was top 20 hours!

The differece on the batterys are the mAh (900 on the old one and 950 on the new) and some version nr that is R1A on the old I got and R2A on the new.

The 1000mAh battery was for P800 and if my memory serves me right, it is also for the P900. With P910i, the capacity has been increased to 1260mAh, unless some vendors "cheat" their customers by swapping out the battery. If the P990i comes with only 950mAh battery, then it is even worse than P800, an almost 4 year old smart phone

The NK Communicators, are having 1500mAh at least, so does most WM devices. My god how can SE's latest and long delayed flag ship smart phone comes with a battery that is 550mAh LOWER than its competitors, coupled with it having added in all those power hungry features too?

Aren't anyone who wishes to purchase the P990i concern about this? I ahd already pre-ordered mine but only to learn about this news today Windows mobile users have always complained that if they utilise WiFi, e.g., in cafe hot spots, just for 1/2 hr - 1 hr, the battery life could never last a single day

You're wrong, P900 also had 1260 mAh batter, do not know 'bout P800.
