It wont make any difference to the transfer speed, It is just a hub which supports USB2.

If you have a PC you can just purchase a PCI USB 2 card and install that.

afaik, you can upgrade to usb 2.0 only by installing drivers, and your pc must support usb2.0 standard.
you can't upgrade by putting some adapter to non-2.0 port

just buy a pci card. dead cheap and dead easy to cheap.
ive just installed one in my 10 yr old pc and it works great (bit slow running the latest msn, wont let me sign in with old msn)

it doesnt. im running msn 7.0 on a ten yr old comp with 32mb of ram and other apps thats why
there was a type above, meant to be dead easy to fit

I recently updated the gfx cards drivers (radeon 9800pro) but now during the post I get an “unknown flash type” message before it boots into widows.
As it still boots into windows I guess this isn’t much of a problem but would rather the message didn’t come up at all.

Other than rolling back the drivers anyone know how to resolve this issue?
