ok ill bite... the first one is of K800, and the second shots were of N80...

I would say its actually the bottom pictures that are K800. They are recognised by the slight bluish tint K800 produced when using auto white balance setting.

The truth is bottom pics are from N80. Raw pics, no editing.

My only concern with the K800 is the ease at which you can take a bad photo. In auto mode, things can quickly go very wrong (like using the flash, which then over exposes the face and makes the background disappear - even in near daylight). In landscape mode, the stabiliser gets a good in-focus shot, but softens things up a bit too or over compresses the image (giving lots of JPEG artifacts that spoil things). It doesn't always seem to happen though - which is even more annoying.

I took a while to get used to using the right mode for each shot, and quickly got the pictures I wanted nearly all of the time (suddenly, low light shots with flash look every bit as good as you expect). I trust the auto mode will be tweaked in future firmware revisions, but wonder if SE might have given a bit more attention before release? Most people will use auto. Many people won't even know they've got two additional buttons above the screen - who reads manuals?
