I vaguely remember the slow boot after update last time to R7. But there's always a moment of paranoia where I think I've messed up, or the update has gone wrong. I've updated nokias, dell axim and a mio and they've all updated in less than the stated time - the windows devices in under 10 minutes!
Dunno why the P990 took so long this time. The download appeared to end at 28% and the update took forever from 25% to 48% then it ended. Perhaps it's just down to the GUI or the computer OS, but 20 minutes last time, and just over an hour this time give or take was a bit annoying, but I'm glad I've had another first time success.
Anyway it does seem more sleek. Will test out wlan and opera later and give it a more heavy load.
Also I'm just about to change the system font back to my vjnina and hope that still works ok.

if you mean skype, then download iskoot (www.iskoot.com) for w600i. it is working with the latest (at least I can log in and see the list of contacts)

i have a Generic P990
Update went ahead fine.
BUT, when trying to restore stuff, 3rd party applications mostly fail and it is mentioned in the report.
but doesnt matter what i do, it will NOT restore messaging! the whole backup fails if i tick "unified inbox"
i have 7 POP3 email accounts on my P990, (dont ask why)
and now it seems i have to manually recreate all of them???
anyone here has same problem/solution???

Can i ask...after the update, with flip closed, do the icon still animate when you scroll through the application e.g. on messages its a normal evevlope, when you place the cusor over it the evelope opens with a letter inside? I thought mine was a fault so i master reseted it and reloaded the firmware again, but the same thing is happening...regards
