@ Mizzle
How about the sound quality either through headset or speaker compared to W960?

1. MUCH better. Has really been enhanced in many ways, and lots of stuff has been moved around to make it easier for 'normal' users
2. I would have preferred physical soft keys, but apart from that, there's not really any problems with the layout.
3. Not at all
4. ? The display feels rather large, and not small.
5. Should run without any problems.
6. G900 performs just like my W960 when it comes to WiFi, so that's very good.
7. G 9 0 0

Is that any difference in WiFi speed? We all know that G900 WiFi is b/g whilst W960 is only b.
Thanks.

My W960 is flat on power right now, so can't do a direct head-to-head, but overall I found it very good for a phone.

@Rifqi_Aziz
My Internet is only 2 Mbps, so if there was I wouldn't notice it, but I seriously doubt it. Mobile devices are limited in memory writing speeds, and anything above 11 Mbps - as with 802.11b - would probably not be noticed.

I take it your impressed with it Mizzle then? I hope os as I've settled on this, want to go from my P1i to this cause it's smaller and the interface is better. I just hope it's still on for a UK release at the end of the month? I have to say though that the review of the G900 have been the best for a UIQ device for ages, better then the P990 and P1i.

Hi mizzle

Please if you have time or the case (and patience )

can you try to download any file from the pc with wifi???

by the way this could be useful to someone

you can use hfs (mini free webserver) to set up a web server on your laptop and leave all folders you want shared with wifi so you can access them from the browser of the phone.
ith
It's true that 11 mb/s is too much but actually my p1i reaches max 2.4 mb/s i have 20 mb line and have tried from the laptop with hfs.

So anyone who tries the download speed pleeease report

Thanks

Did any of you G900 owners experience any dust (under screen, stuck in between buttons) or creaking issues? The W960i has a problem with its battery cover, and I hate dealing with those kind of things.

@nikolat: I think the dust behind the screen issue has been mentioned on page 23 of this thread. For creaks, not sure.

Has anyone tried using the Bluetooth headset HBH-DS980 with the G900? Is it fully compatible (ie. accessing the contacts using the headset, or the calls menu) ?? Can you browse the whole library with the headset or is it limited to next/previous within the same artist or album?

I'm tempted to get a DS980 with the G900, but wanna make sure first it works 100%

Thanks !

@mizzle
many many thanks for answering!!

the smaller screen was referred to the fact that the G900 has a little smaller screen than the previous SE UIQ phones (2,4'' vs 2,6'')
