According to the
Samsung Mobile UK twitter account, the update to Froyo started to roll out since november 4th. Did you update yours?

Nope. Not for the want of trying tho..kies just wont connect. Ive tried updating the drivers. Nothing. Ive tried unmounting the sd card. Nothing. Ive left it in ' connecting..please wait..' mode. Nothing. U have the awful itunes on my pc, as my other half has the iphone4. I dont know if that would interfere with the kies drivers and so forth..looks like i'll have to take it into town and get it done over the counter. There goes 20.00. I loathe samsungs software. Truly f**kin pathetic.

I have read complaints abot kies in norwegian forums as well. One should believe that a corporation like Samsung could do this as easily as for instance SE

It is nearly good enough. . . . .

True. I have sorted the battery problem...underclocked the phone. Now get nearly three days outta my phone. Luckily for me, i have no lag since changing to ext4.
Very happy with it except for the software thing.

Its easy bono. Theres two apps. One that roots ya phone. The other, setCpu lets you adjust the clock speed. Then you reboot. Sorted.

I've never had any issue with KIES connecti0n on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Updated my Galaxy to Froyo(XXJPO) through KIES. But then flashed it to Eclair(JPJG8) and then to Froyo(JPJPA) via Odin software for Arabic/Urdu support.

Using Product Code XGS. So market application is present.
Battery life isn't that bad as you people complaining... Anyway, i must say that apart from camera, its an excellent and superb device. I have taken only a few snaps and i think its not bad at all. Infact having no time to explore the camera features/performance thoroughly, as there are many other things to do
