@etaab
Did you also get the Nokia extended warranty?
Nokia USA finally has the colors available for pre-order, but they are $100 more than shopblt site.. i wonder how much faster I would get it from ordering with Nokia USA compared to reseller shopblt.
is it worth $100 more? decisions.. decisions..

I think its worth the extra hundred to just get it from nokia.... Not sure you'll get it any faster, but I personally would feel better knowing I'm getting it directly from them. I just have to decide if I want the orange or the white/silver.

Ive no idea about where to buy it in the USA as im from the UK, so i cannot be much help sorry.
Im paying the preorder £430 from the official Nokia UK shop. Since im selling my Satio for £200, i'll only have to pay £230, since the Satio i got free on my phone contract. £230 for a limited edition orange N8 ? yes please !
Since i only intend to use the N8 for a year at most, i wont need an extra warranty, since here in the UK you get a free 12 month warranty anyway. Also, im pretty careful with my phones so they rarely take any damage, if any. My friend buys my old phones every 12 to 18 months because he knows they're looked after. I doubt ill sell my N8 though, its camera will be far too handy to have in 5 years time.

I got my N8 on Friday.
It is far superior to the Satio. The OS is much smoother, reacts faster, the camera (especially autofocus) is faster.
And the main point for me: way better audio in video-recording.
Well, I cannot really tell about photo-quality because I have to make some comparisons first. Anyway I am more the "point-and-click" photographer, I mostly do not use any special options or certain configurations.
And to visit the Ovi-Store and get lots of legally free apps (take all theses little programs from e.g. Offscreen) is
just fine. Most apps I tried where designed for S60v5 and nevertheless work fine on the N8.
I do NOT regret the change from Satio to N8. The N8 is the phone the Satio could have been, if SE.......but you know the story
Greetings
