I just completed reading the Nexus 4 review on GSM arena, and noticed the 808 has the highest constrast ratio of any smartphone. So yeah, they probably did it to make the camera ultra usable outdoors. The 5 is second though so it too is good.
Heh, did the 5' satnav try to take you off a cliff or down a road that doesnt exist on your journey ??

^ hah no... haven't had a real problem with it actually, but I think its very much regional.. they kind of had to get silicon valley and California in general right because imagine all their employees getting lost all over San Jose because of their own f**k up..

Wishful thinking huh. Well here in the UK the SGS3 is the best selling phone, i see so many people with it now its totally unbelievable. Well done to Samsung and UK consumers.

A lot of people here in the US have either the 4s or the 4 ... and both of these provide 95% of the core functionality that people expect from an "iphone" ..the 5 offers very little over the previous two generations.
Despite that, they will sell more iphone 5s than the combined android sells of HTC, Sony, and LG...
here another silly thing I found out today... so iOS would let you record video no matter which way you turn the phone, and it will show you the right orientation on screen, so today I recorded a video clip, played back fine on the device.. got home, played it.. its fuking upside down
On the 808 it won't trick you into thinking that you can do that.. all the controls on screen are fixed, pointing the right away.. on iOS they all rotate..

My SGS3 has done that with stills before. Thats just typical of modern day operating systems. Symbian never makes that mistake in my experience.
