I've seen some Nokia releases yesterday - mobile shops, they just look good - specs are OK as well!

You raise a very important point, style. Of course style is a personal consideration, but I would tend to agree with you regarding the 'cheap' look of Nokia products. Before people accuse me of being biased in favour of SE I will admit that I am; I prefer SE to Nokia and style is one of the factors that caused me to change from Nokia to SE.
Hmmm . . . it's more on the fone's features and price for me matey

As per, the showdown between Nokia and SE is neck and neck in my opinion!

i respect your view on smartphone. However, the point u hv to ask urself as a consumer is this:-
Given that the price is
similar, do u want a phone that perform like a smartphone (e.g office docs, multimedia, PIMs and customisability)
OR a normal phone that does not do any of these?

I just want a reliable phone that I can count on, and if it has more features, that's more than wellcome.

That's my point, most customers will choose the mobile with less features! Strange? Silly? Daft? Yes, it is all of these things, but that is how the majority of customers tend to behave. Most people don't want all those advanced features and their inclusion can actually be off putting. I have no doubt that smartphones will end up dominating the market, but I think that it is the timescale we disagree about, not the end result.

i think smartphones rise or fall on the market may be dictated by the companies. if the platform is flexible and cheap for the company to use they will probably go with that than spend money on making a new simplier ui
as for the comment someone made (sorry cant remember who) that se phones are better build and made from better materials this i would like to see some evidence of.
as far as i am concerned having used se nokia samsung etc they are all equally as well/ badly made as each other. all are mass produced in factories around the world were the workers are paid very little, so i dont think any maker is better or worse in this respect. but if you have evdience that se use better/ stronger plastics then please show me and i will gladly concide this.

THERE IS ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE. I was using 6100 and 6600 and i may say they look like piece of junk compared with any se, (t610, k700, even low-class t230). If you don't think so, get several models of each and see for yourself.

I'm talking about: i.e. 6100- while you're typing sms or smth. you feel it's parts moving (front and back part of cover) and folding and cause of that making noises (like screech-scrach). That thing annoys me and is not case with SE. I like phone that feels strong, firm, well-assembled not one that feels like it'll fall apart till i finish my sms.
Or am I to rough handling a phone?
