hi all. i have p910i . the o2 settings work ok for me but i seem to get charged a connection fee every time the gprs signal gets lost and then reconnects. if i put £10 credit in and dont do anything before i know it after a few hours the credits down about 50p. the problem is that if i disconnect manually & close the flip 10 secs later it has connected again on its own. the only way i can keep it disconnected is by inserting a " . " at the beginning of the internet address. its pretty anoying when gprs is on cos it interferes with every speaker whithin 2 metres. anybody else have this problem.

Some success with MSN!
I have tried to get instant messaging to work for months now. I am nearly there with MSN but would also like fellow travellers to help and have another go as I seem to have a noisy connection. I used the smartphone login (from another esato post) mobile.msn.com/pocketpc and was able to log in to Passport and Hotmail. That lets me enter the webpage webmessenger.msn.com (ignore all the dire warnings about popups and illegal browsers) and logs me into MSN. However I am getting a lot of error message 500 (often cleared by a refresh or retry) and the occasional out of memory message.
@afterburner: make sure Opera has the proxy set. Also, I sometimes got a 1p charge but it was refunded on the next session.

Careful guys, I have had two SIM cards blocked for using (abusing?) O2's service. I was doing about a gig a month (it was connected to the mac on Limewire

) and when I then used it in Switzerland, I guess that was the limit for O2 :/
Maybe the Swiss provider charged them loadsa cash or something. i certainly nice hope they did, because O2's service is downright terrible. Their customer service is a PILE OF SHIT. I just called Orange about connecting to the net over my mac and a dedicated GPRS modem, and they were so ridiculously helpful, it was astonishing!! In comparison, O2 employs a load of curry-munchers who don't speak english.

Does anyone know if this would work on a nokia 7600? I am getting one for myself soon and i have an o2 online sim and i like to use the wap alot. The 7600 has wap 2.0 (xhtml browser) so does that mean it most probably will?

With what phone? Oh and yes, this will work on the 7600 as long as you can configure a proxy...

Did you read the paragraph after the settings? It mentions that if you want it to be free then you have to make the 9201 port 8080 instead...
