I think its evil how the UK folks have to wait 2 weeks! ahh its driving me mad!
Why two weeks? Expansys are still quoting 10th August.

To lucky P990 owners, please tell us about:
- amount of free RAM on start-up
- speed of the UI
- stability of wifi
- video quality
I noticed that most have a stand with their P990s so rumours were not correct about there being no stand.
Also we in the UK hopefully should have P990s at least in the post by the end of the week
I think we now need a 'I've just got my P990' thread?

Expansys keep changing their minds, and thier delivery times are never sopt on either.
Im not paying £600 for a phone when i can get it for free. When i hear that someone has actually got a physical one from them then i will consider it...
I just hope SE have done their testing otherwise they are going to have alot of pissed of customers, waited this long and they cant get the basics right...
Yes the camera video quality would be interesting, and the wifi set-up? How user friendly is it...

Using wifi on the p990. Seems to work just fine.
I filmed it with my ixus and will upload a small film soon if it works.

I think you have wrong all the way. I think the price will be stable and the firmware will be stable to, its why se have tryed out the device the past couple of months.
The price will not change from 6000kr (638 EUR) to under 5400kr (574 EUR) for the first month or months. And firmware are so easy to upgrade. Will it be any major problem just leave your p990i in for service, it´s on warranty.
They will not change any hardware devices only software if necessary.
This is the price you will pay if you want to have the latest first, and this price is cheap.
If you want to wait a couple of month be my guest.
For me se and nokia stands for quality and no one can compare with the scandinavian quality in my opinion...
I spend a lot of time in Scandinavia and have to agree that the quality of products there is generaly very good in factI would say Volvo and Saab are euro for europ way aheadof the Germans at the moment, but this device is not made in Scandinavia! as for firmware why shopuld this phone be any different from others mostof which have had firmware updates, and I do not belive that manufacturers do not change components during a production run in fact I know they do. SE Service centres here are mostly OK but we have all heard of SC's screwing up peoples phones. The phone will get cheaper as time goes by they allways do but I think £600 is a lot of money for an untried device.

Looks unbranded to me.
and yes again £600 is a hell of a lot of pennies for something that will frustrate you till SE come up with a fix...
