few minutesd before i updated ... mine is china model..

and can anyone give wht the new features and bugs in it ..

it will be nice..

but one thi9ng so far i have noticed is sound seems to be some wht increased..ie volume is increased..

and as they said before there is no still jpeg pic for videos... u can see preview in the file manager..

phone is slighlty slow... i dont know why..

but can be due to theme i am usu\\ing..

please report ur findings guys ...and please somebody change the first page and include that this firmware is available on SEUS....

I updated my K800i to R1J. I found one bug. When I play the video clips, the screen server appears immediately before the beginning of the next clip. Do you face this problem as well?

I just tried to update a friend's K800i, to R1KC001 via WotanServer---he just said OK to change his CDA to EUROPE 5 from APAC as he thought he just needed English and German---good then, so I can do an experiment with this new R1KC001. The flashing went smoothly. In general it's similar to K810i R1KC001 firmware. Here are my findings so far:

1. No more video preview in File manager. The video keeps still, NOT playing when being highlighted, unlike the previous firmwares. So, IMHO it is done to improve stability or a step backwards?? I don't know.

2. Java is updated to version 7.4. More stability again?

3. Content is now PA 30, Text is revised to version CB, and Wotan uploaded new Customisation version R6A. The date of all pre-installed files turn into March 18, 2007. No improvement in Camera driver. IMEI is added with '34' info at the last digit, which is normal.

4. The date of firmware checked from the built-in Update Service is 070318 ( March 18, 2007). So it's totally fresh from the oven.

5. Don't worry, SEUS still recognises the phone.

6. The changes of font look in Java games and applications. In some part, the font is thinner and smaller in size compared to previous firmwares, also there is a visible distinction between the bold and regular fonts. When viewing Opera Mini, for instance, it's different. I don't know if it is because of EUROPE 5 custpack. I am too familiar with APAC..
It looks 'classy' much now. Just my personal impression.

7. When starting the phone for the 1st time, after fully flashing it, it asks you to download setting--WAP and MMS settings. Then you get the SEMC WAP setting with your local operator parameter. It's new to me. My R1JG doesn't have it. It may deal with Wotan newly revised R6A customisation.

8. Very minor GUI changes when texting. Notice the font indicator--Aa,A, a-- is re-positioned more to right side. It used to be exactly at the center of 'Input text' section.

9. As usual Wotan leaves a strange info under customisation. This time is still 99E0W. 99 Errors 0 Warning. Believe me, I took out the SIM Card and M2, fully charged the battery to 100 percent, and follow each step of flashing carefully. So Wotan, what can you say now? That I changed my CDA? I got the same 99E0W with the original 'from-factory' CDA before.

EDIT: Wotan just said it's the problem of the customisation file itself. This '99E0W' doesn't affect the phone functionality itself. Thanks God, then.

10. After finished updating my RSS Feed, I turned off the phone for a reason. When powered on again, I noticed the RSS icon at the top! It was just gone when I went to RSS menu. Old bug reappears? No idea. Tried many times, with different SIM Cards too, the RSS icon still appears at startup.

11. Anytime you changed SIM card, you won't be prompted questions like choose your language, copy SIM contacts and other tips. This seems to appear only if you just flash the phone totally, turn it on for the very first time, and you have no settings chosen yet--you haven't picked up languages, contacts, etc. I have tried 3 different SIM Card and after powering on it skips the queries I mentioned before. New to me. In all previous f/ws, I did have these prompts.

12. The phone fails to play .svg animated image when viewed from File Manager. Instead, it gives blank white screen, which is acually launching the Netfront Web Browser. It's an old story, however.

EDIT: I finally flashed my K800i too after exploring my mate's phone for hours. It seems the stability is OK. I have the same EUROPE 5 custpack now. Miss my Indonesian language, though...LOL. I got French, Italian and German now. And, the internal memory increases to 71 MB free. It seems different CDA means varied free phone memory.
