@jo typhoon is derived from a chinese word and considering the chinese influence in the far east and south east asia that word stuck or so it's said on wikipedia.

@blu - Thanks! What the heck . . . typhoon, cyclone, hurricane, tornado, torpedo, taekwondo . . . whatever it is it's UNPREDICTABLE ! That's why at my end MOST of the typhoon's NAME that goes after the storms were female-named . . . just like with FEMALES, they are UNPREDICTABLE !

San...the sweetest thing I heard lately on this thread has been the cost of that Dell U ordered & the specs r totally radical.
Although I couldn't find these 2 things newhere on Dell sites:
1. Is that 256MB 7900GS DDR3 or only 2 cause it'll make a mighty diff...not that DDR2 would be bad...a whole leage better than my X1600 but I saw the performance & visual diff in a 7600GS & a 7600GT...n I was told the only diff was that the later had DDR3 VRAM.
2. Does it ve a AGEIA PhysX card aswell cause XPS ve n it'll really be it.
Oh & I suppose its a 17"WUSXGA screen U mentioned.
Even without the abv mentioned it's quite a deal U got but with those it would be a steal.

oh has, my knowledge is limited too. its the 7900 GS with 256mb. dont think its got ddr3
as for the AEGIA card i have no clue, shyam knows????
yes its the 17" wusxga+ with truelife
