So ugly... Big fail! We saw this year only one right phone, and this is the Xperia ION! But SONY fuc**ed itself with very bad strategy... Still not in market... ALSO I HATE THIS NEW DESIGNER! WHY THE HELL YOU PUT THE XPERIA LOGO AT BOTTOM AND SONY ON TOP??? YOU NEED TO PUT ALL SONY LOGOS IN FRONT AT THE BOTTOM!!! LIKE ON TVs!! AND XPERIA LOGO ALONE ON BACKSIDE!!! SONY FRONT AT THE BOTTOM - XPERIA BACK AND IN LANDSCAPE!!! ON FRONTS TOP NOTHING!!! WHY THE HELL YOU COPY LG, HTC AND SAMSUNG???!!!! ALL BACKSIDES LOOK SO CHEAP AND EMPTY THIS YEAR!!! WHAT HAPPEND??? AND THE NEW NAME OF THE PHONES ARE HORRIBLE, WHY YOU NOT CHOOSE THE CODENAMES?! SOUNDS MUCH BETTER THAN S P U T ETC...

You do realise SE designed everything up till now.... Sony hasn't actually done anything yet. It takes 18 months for a concept to reach production. So all these Xperia devices were designed mid-late 2010 or early 2011, those " wierd Japanese.people" have barely been involved, if they were involved, then they are the same people who brought you the 2010 and 2011 AND 2012 phones. There is no such thing as "old Sony Ericsson", they are the same designers from Lund. Only recently has the design team actually moved to Japan. Their designs won't ne seen till 2013 at the earliest
UI is subjective, but I like it, clean and sophisticated, much better that the rather cheap-looking Touchwiz.
Mediar, you don't have to like it, but your opinion isn't fact (as evidenced.by the relatively strong NXT sales) and its a bit annoying that you repeatedly come back here and derail the thread with your tiresome rants. If you're done with Sony then stop posting rants in threads related to their products. Go and enjoy HTC or Samsung poor whatever floats your boat. Sony don't exist to please just you, they must have their own ideas, visions and concepts they want to create. Don't like it, don't buy it, buy something else but please don't act like they owe you something. If in the future they make something you like, then enjoy it, if not life goes on

Over on XDA qsp who leaked the original tablet photos mentioned either a cybershot lens or sensor would be on this tablet, he never did clarify. Do you have seperate info confirming if it's one or the other, or possibly both?

How thick is that tablet anyway? since Tablet S is 20mm i suppose the Xperia Tablet S is around 14-16mm. with that size I think a 1/2.4" sensor would fit on the device, xenon flash too! (Satio is 13mm btw, but sadly Sony didn't bother about it) so there's alot of space for every circuitry and the battery is large enough for components like this to fit so its no brainer to think at such possibility.
EDIT: just found the dimensions of the Xperia tablet to be 11.85, so it might not fit a 1/2.4" sensor, we don't know though if it's got wide angle so the focal length would be shorter, which means the size won't be affected. but anyway so much for this silly speculation
it's as if Sony still makes 8mp cybershot camera sensors these days
