When I asked if it supported web access she said "yes but with restrictions to mobile internet"
@amby: That statement from her is an open display of ignorance. How can something support web access but be" restricted to mobile internet"? Mobile internet means WAP. If its restricted to WAP, then its not open for Web access (except one can work one's way thru some loopholes). Simply put, she did not know what she was saying.

@Aya: I understood what she meant, I guess it was just the wrong terminology that was used. She was trying to explain that I could use it for wap but not for internet access using my phone as a modem.
Guess what, I always thought "mobile Internet" meant mobile web access, and I've been a member of this forum for 5months now, see why I need that seminar of yours?

@Ihe; Unlike you, I think that match will be boring...both teams lack attacking flair. The winner will be the one that controls the midfield.
@All:Vactive has been on vacation since last night...pls confirm!
@AYA: I quite like the Opera mini...cool interface though less features; very fast too.

@All, I've been using the Vmobile gprs and I prefer it to the MTN one.. Though there's no web access (using as gprs modem for PC) except you know how to tweak proxy stuff on your PC which I'm still working on.. If i'm able to do this, i'll let y'all know the trick...

Here's what I discovered so far... You can tweak the settings on the symbian version of Opera via Vmobile to enable opera to browse both web and wap and I tell you my brother, it's blazing fast.. the speed is amazing...

I've also been able to access both web and wap via my k700 and k750 on opera mini, made use of my friends via yamigo to chat using Vmobile by tweaking the internet settings (change internet mode from wap to http), this also allows the internal browser to access web pages too and it's amazingly blazing faster than MTN...

By the time Vmobile announces the service officially, we'll know about their web plan similar to glodirect.

As for me, I really don't care which line I use as basic cos I can afford to send SMS to all my contacts to inform a change of number anytime anyday, so I'm only going to choose the network with the best and most affordable data tariff (probably flat fee like in India) as my basic line for calls and data even if it's Mtel..

@Ihe, who do you think is gonna win in the battle, CHELSEA or LIVERPOOL?
