@KID777: One bad aspect of recent SEphones is their poor joysticks.

@Mario, yep, i cling to the old 3510i, it's been faithful for years... Opera Mini seems to have better compression than Symbian, so it uses fewer kb than Symbian. I use the full version for downloads, etc but for now prefer Mini. Are you using version 8?

Saw an ad for the D600 last night and felt bad for all those people who got the D500 recently. Is the D600 3G, I'm too lazy to check up gsmarena.com.

@Kryptik How do you mean 'better compression' ?A website is already 'compressed' (optimized is the right term) to minimize download time ! What opera mini does is leaving out 'things' and that yes will make the overall file smaller. But if you are after the 'bare bone' representation use google's web-wap translator !

@786KBR: The LG M4410 has got EDGE!!! Need I say more. Unless you're on MTN, EDGE is going to be usless because Vodacom's poor coverage...like I said previously I'm only picking up a Vodacom EDGE signal off the Pier's Place building on the Foreshore which coincidentally houses offices for Vodacom.
@mario: What's up with the superiority complex? Opera Mini is good alternative to wap browsers...even better than WebViewer which has pulled it's browser off the market since the launch of Opera Mini.
This is only the beginning and hopefully by next year we'll be able to download files directly onto our phones using the browser.

@Mario, i have to admit it's been quite a while since i even looked at Netfront... Always been an Opera user, so i've downloaded NF 3.2 in order to compare. I'm after a bare-bones browser, but with at least a user-friendly interface. Currently both Opera Full and Mini offer that, as does this version of NF which i'm using to post this message. I'm going to run this for a few days and see how it compares to Opera, then give you guys a breakdown of the positives and negatives. So far, the UI is quite decent, so it scores points there already

Regarding compression/optimization, Mini does seem to do it better in that Mini's text-only mode loads a page quite faster than Full's text-only mode. Will go into this in detail once i've put NF thru its paces.
