evening,
seems like no-ones here.......
anyway, i have a question: what are the risks of accepting a bank transfer from a buyer? i dont think the seller is dodgy, as hes actually willing to pay by postal which would be fine (however, i cant access my post till end of a week...). I may just be worrying too much, but once giving them your account no. and sort code, couldnt they attempt to do anything with these details?
P.S: What details would they need from the seller to send the money, and how many days for it to clear (for the same bank/different branch)?
P.S 2: Btw, half life 2 does look good (cant play it - need better pc

), but i'm having great fun on halo 2 and fifa 2005 online on xbox

I've had a few buyers on ebay pay me this way and never had an issue.
when people ask is it safe I simply answer that you are giving them details that anyone could get from one of your cheques and after all, its the banks responsibility to ensure the identity of anyone they give money to from any account

thanks for the quick reply masseur

, true what you've said; though isnt there a chance for them to cancel the transfer or something along those lines, or it it best to wait a few days for it clear before sending the goods?
Btw: @masseur: did you get any luck with the trade deal with your k700i for a s700/p910?

once the funds are showing as cleared in your account there is nothing they can do. If its the same bank then it can be same day otherwise it can be 2 or 3 days for it to show as cleared
nah, didn't get any response to that offer but I got myself an i-mate SP3i today which is a windows mobile smartphone and I have to say I am impressed as hell.. now if motorola put that into the V3 I thin k we might have the perfect phone

@masseur. does this mean you'll be giving up your V3 and selling it after so little time you've owned it ?
