Just updated to R1JG001 and tested the video preview, fixed. I had the crashing problem before, if the video was a little large or good quality. Now it doesn't.

sad to say, i noticed that the call list bug is still in R1JG. when the call list is populated nearly to the max, the bottom of the list would show one or 2 blank entries...

it was already fixed from the previous FW (r1jc002 i believe was the first to fix this.)

Wotan Server has uploaded R1KC001 for APAC (Asia Pacific) CDA. Flashing now...I do miss my Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language) much as last week I changed my CDA to Europe 5 as it used to be European CDA only which were available to test R1KC001. It's a matter of language only I think...LOL.

EDIT: OK, just successfully flashed the phone to APAC CDA.

Cool!
I'll wait for the SEUS version.
I'm a cheapskate.

No SEUS update for me??

Unbranded UK K800i with CDA 102511/2 R4A

SEUS says no update, so I'm still on R1GB001 whereas the first page says latest f/w is Unbranded UK (CDA102511/2) - R1JG001

Anyone else in the same position?

Lee

I posted some time ago my findings of R1KC001 EUROPE 5 CDA. I found out that the font has changed a lot in Java games and applications compared to my R1JG001 APAC CDA. I noticed that there was clear and visible distinction in bold and non-bold letters, especially in Opera Mini. Some parts used thin font, while others thick (bold) one. I had R1JG001 APAC before, and when I wanted to flash R1KC001 via Wotan, I had no choice to get APAC--my normal CDA--at that time as it wasn't available yet. So I changed my CDA to EUROPE 5 and I found this font look difference. I thought the new Java engine 7.4 in R1KC001 brought this new font style. Sorry, I was mistaken. Why do I say so?
It's because today Wotan Server finally uploads R1KC001 for APAC customisation. This is what I'm waiting for as I need Indonesian language. I then flashed again my phone with the same R1KC001 but with APAC version. And you know what? Just noticed that there was NO thick and thin font style anymore as what I found in the previous Europe 5 CDA despite the same main firmware R1KC001. It surprises me a bit, however. I begin thinking that perhaps the font changes that I mentioned NEVER happen at all.
Then, I conclude that font look in Java apps and games are region-specific or CDA-based. In my R1KC001 APAC now, I don't see the clear distinction between bold letters and non-bold letters. All is the same. In Opera Mini, I don't have that thinner font look. All font now is of the same type and thickness. Hope that mwarner revised his 1st post. I just realize now that different CDA has different 'look' and 'performance'. So I am not sure now that this 7.4 Java version brings changes in font look in Java apps and games.
In other words, for European CDA you always have that bold and thin font in Java while in APAC always the bold one following the Chinese characters inside the specific CDA of WHATEVER firmware you have, not only this R1KC001.

but why doesn't SE fix the major bugs with the firmware, i.e. the caller list bug and phonebook duplication?? the duplication has reoccured on my phone, and turning it on and off doesn't change the situation...
