After 2 months its small cracked
After 4 months its side-chrome paled

Damn! I'm rather disappointed to see this happen with my next potential handset.

my Arc is 2 months old, luckily no cracks yet nor chrome peeling

my suggestions is to apply Full Body Protection from ZAGG

I asked people, and this Ishield will last more than 1 year, before it will become yellowish color or it will peel from the phone.

but for the screen protector some said it has a rubbery feel and makes touch screen less responsive, so maybe you should go for another brand for the screen protection.

Any news on the 4.3.4 update for the UK? Still not available for generic UK handsets.

Do you mean 2.3.4 (FW: 4.0.1.A.0.283)?

It's available to flash with flashtool from xda if you want it in a hurry. Flashtool can be used with locked or unlocked bootloaders and just takes a few clicks and a few minutes.

The UK SE facebook page states "new software (2.3.4) that’s due to launch on selected Xperia handsets in the next couple of weeks." on Monday, so the next 2 weeks, so we should get it by the 7th of October if they're not lying

Hi

I need some help with my SE Arc.

I need to keep the Bluetooth on discoverable always so it automatically links with my carkit.
Also the name of the phone is LT5i(something) how do I change it to SE Arc, I tried it under media centre but on forum apps it still shows LT5i.
Also which will be the best media codecs to download? To view wmv files...

Tnx

Go to settings, wireless & network settings, bluetooth settings, device name

The discoverable mode is actually more like a pairing mode i.e. you should only need it on to pair the arc to your car. After that whenever your car kit is on and ready it will automatically search for it's paired devices and will find devices it is paired with whether or discoverable mode is tuned on or not. I've never had any issues with having to turn on discoverable mode after the device has been paired and I've used numerous car kits and headsets, in fact I'd advise not to turn discoverable mode on permanent (if there was such a setting).

Hey. In the last few days I have experienced some serious battery drain. Think it might be google maps after recent update. Anyone else experience this?
