After 3 days I have given my Z2 back again. Display still behind competion, too dark, not nice colours, still no gorilla glass!!!... Camera just average, 8MP mode good, upper shit. Build Quality in the frames very bad hard plastic and gaps open. Doesnt feel like really premium device. The only thing what I liked was the new headset and its sound.
Had so many devices and I could and did easy compare it. I can say Sony is No.1 in UI design and all, but they need add new functions. It's too naked! Sony should stop release every half year a not true flaggshipp. They must really change things, not only small updates. They are too similar... Z/ZL > Z1 > Z2 > Z3 with same CPU????? HOLYSHIT
My devices last couple months: Z Ultra, G Flex, G2, Note 3, Moto G and some others... I prefer them all instead Z2.

Complaining about SoC's? Blame Qualcomm. Like I said, Apple caught them with their pants down. SD805 doesn't have a dedicated baseband built into the chipset. That is NOT good for battery performance. Its probably best to wait till SD810 comes out.
Even then, I'm not particularly enthralled by its stupid octa-core BIG.little setup. Apple f**ked Qualcomm so hard, that they haven't even had the chance to create their own ARM v8 based 64-bit chips, instead using Cortex A5x cores instead. Ridiculous.
Display? 490-510 nits is not exactly dim is it? Well whatever, I guess this is a sujective issue. I have no problem reading my Z1 compact's display in direct sunlight with auto-brightness on (and the bar pushed all the way to minimum). I guess there is a variation in the displays each individuals get.
I mean, why else would Anandtech's iPhone 5s have a considerably worse calibrated display than their iPhone 5c. Well whatever.
And build quality...well.
There are no arguments here. Aside from Apple and HTC, Sony's build quality is untouched.
King-James...you talk about plastic, but isn't the Z2 Aluminium uni-body with two glass panels? Where's the plastic?
Unless you got a Chinese Z2, which is uni-body polycarbonate.
Anyway.
We tend to take too much stock in rumours. Aside from the high possibility that the Z3 will have a SD801 (which IMO, is good, until MSM8994 hits the market), we have no idea about what the device will look or feel like.
As for the camera sensor. Sony probably have a newly designed, higher performance CMOS for their next set of flagship phones.

According to phone arena my galaxy S4 has 245nits so 475 of Z2 is a blessing for me.
offtopic according to gsmarena G3s screen has very poor contrast around 700 .Resolution alone isn't everything atleast for me hope sony comes out with an awesome 1080 display

I too had lot of hopes,saving all your money and just be a nice monkey,if u know value of money...
I guess Sony are inn transition mode,lets wait for 1 or 2 years,may be we get a potent new device worth for our pocket
