Hi to all, I have migrated from a old Nokia 7210 to W810i, is a nice telephone, but I there are things that I'm not for sure happy:

- When I have the telephone in my pocket, seems that I do not "feel" (the vibra is too short compared with the nokia) the sms when it's arrive, never happened with the 7210...
- The screen is ever in standby, it should show you the incoming sms message also if I'm in standby, otherwise it has to have an extra alarm that reminds you that you have a pending sms... this thing is really annoying... I do not know if it's a standard in Sony Ericsson phones...
- I cannot setup the timer for blocking the keypad...
- When you see a video in full screen is imposible to return in normal mode, you must stop the playback.

I do not understand what happens with Sony Ericsson software developers....

Is there a e-mail to send to Ericsson to put all this problems all together?... I thing that if they receive tons of e-mail with the common problem we have, they will start thinking to change things... may be we can organize a mass e-mail sending, with the same subjects.

Ok, finally got the contact picture bug worked out. I tried reupdating my phone several time and it was still there. I just uninstalled SEUS and reinstalled it, then updated again. Presto. Now it works just fine.

You mean you uninstalled SEUS from your PC and reinstalled it?

Also, how do you re-install the latest software on your phone? If I try it, SEUS just says there is no update available and doesn't give me the option to re-install 005.

How often do you charge your w810? And how is your usage between the charges roughly?

I charge mine about every third day, but then I'm calling with it for about 5 hours per week and a lot of more playing around with it.

SE says over 300 h standby and 8 hours talkime. The standby have never been accurate (they test by letting the phone just lie there without usage) but the highest talk time I have had is about 4 hours. Is that good or bad or equal to other new phones (both SE and other brands) today?

Hii. I can´t update my w810i with the SEUS... it keeps saying that i´ve got the latest firmware version. (Im from Portugal and the phone is sim free and unbranded. the firmware version is R4CE012). I even try to update with the update service that is in the phone using GPRS ... well ... it finds a new software version but it can´t download cause it says the file is corrupted! Does anyone know why is this happen?! thank you (I m trying to update for 2 or 3 months with no sucess! :s )

use davinci to change your CDA code then SEUC will work

Just keep trying it. Mine finally worked, maybe yours will too. If not, try to flash it with wantonserver. But then you'll lose all your settings

I don't have the latest firmware. Mine is R4CK003. So far i don't have major issues at all. I have one very minor one though. I tried to play videos using the walman media player. The Walkman was still playing the videos on shuffle even if i turned off the shuffle feature on the playmode. I had to exit the walkman and enter it again for it to work at shuffle off mode. other than that, it's a great phone btw, shuffle on and off works flawlessly when playing my playlists.

I used SEUS and i got the UPDATE FAILED error message.

Now my fone won't start anymore, it's just flashing when i turn it on.

what shall i do???
