yes,,d balance option can also be d problm!!
it was not so abt 6 mth back!!
but these people hav now borrowed some grey matter now!!!

dey r strictly enforcing this balance and gprs availability rule!!!
in mycase around aprox 10rs!!
below dat u cant connect thru gprs
INFACT d there is no gprs signal on ur cellphone!!
DAT IS DISCONNECTED!!!
u will lose d gprs icon as "G/ horizontalbars/triangle/etc"

ALSO order some investigations!!!

in d form of settings etc!!
else ur DIAGNOSIS may suffer!!!

&

u r always welcome!!!

Yup, Dude. GPRS signal is not coming on mobiles having less balance. It disappears. Gtel techies seem to get brainy by the day. First balance requirement, and now 99 proxy is blocked.

yes i know. But gtel allowed browsing at zero or negative balance, but not now. Looks our (hackers) pace is less than those of anti-hackers, that's why we are loosing out tricks. Buck up guys. Find more loopholes in gsnl and gtel networks, so that we enjoy it ..... You know what ! !

Did you activate GSNL portal or fullfledged GPRS. And nowadays gsnl is activating GPRS quickly, Just send sms and activated quickly, at the most 24 hours.

@gaum,
once your gprs gets reactivated, just make sure that your balance dont fall below rs10 or so. (i dont know exact amount.) as the amount falls below that they bar your account. even after you recharge again their system dont update automatically. even on their CC it shows your gprs activated. so this make a lot of time to reactivate your gprs. this has happened to me twice with hutch 15 month back. so i can understand this.

hey frns, all u are very correct. i too am narrowing on cause as 'low balance problem' i think i was on 6rs last i logged out on GPRS. ajeet ur reply has made me more clear on this. freeworld dude thanks a lot, i had to contect BSNL officials this is only way to reactivation. ok i will inform the progress and will ask more help frm u guys after what BSNL authorites say.

for anyone new to BSNL GPRS and this thread
sending 'GPRSPRE' (prepaid)/'GPRS49' or 'GPRS199' (post paid) to 3733 activate GPRS in 48hrs officialy and in hr to 24hrs prectically. activation is not the problem now. settnig can be downloaded as 'NOKIA 6100' (ie. manfctrur name model no.) to 8355. BSNL portal surfing is free, BSNL wap or BSNL GPRS is paid service.
