I am not sure this is a bug. It's just that the first phase (some sort of initialisation) is completed very quickly, whereas the actual copying of the contacts to the SIM is rather slow. Just the sort of thing you would expect when installing software, or copying a bunch of files, on a PC.

I agree with this. Updated the first post accordingly.

I have had my K800 for nearly a week, and have three bugs to add to your firmware overview:
File manager Browsing Bug
Ordinarily, when in the File manager, pressing keys 1-9 would open the corrosponding folder, however in the K800 pressing these keys annoyingly brings up an alphabet search similar to in the Contacts. Interestingly, even this doesn't work properly, when 'Camera album' is selected and a button pressed, the phone will always only highlight the 'Other' folder, and when any other folder is highlighted, pressing a button will always highlight 'Camera Album'. It makes much more sense to have the number keys open up the corrosponding folder.
Dialogue box pressing OK Bug
After adding an appointment, a message is displayed saying 'Appointment Added' with the option to press OK, however pressing OK always skips through the dialogue box and ends up selecting 'Add Appointment.' This happens with other dialogue boxes throughout the phone, where the message displays for too short a time to warrant an OK button.
Menu Title Bug
When in the main menu and selecting an area (other than messaging) with a number key, and then returning to the main menu by pressing the back button, the correct menu option will be highlighted, but the title will still read 'Messaging'.
The following could be considered bugs, or annoyances - I'll leave that to your discretion, but still wanted to include them for interests sake.
New Events Annoyance
Already reported here for the K750 I believe - it looks sloppy that the (o) brackets are smack bang next to the title rather than a space apart. E.g. 'New events(1)' rather than 'New events (1)'. How hard can this be to fix? It looks messy.
Working Bar Annoyance
The loading/working bar sometimes behaves strangely depending on the task at hand, e.g. transfering items between the phone and MS. And how ugly does it want to be?! We are surrounded by some fantastic anti-aliased eye-candy in the UI, and then we get this old Nokia-esque loading bar thrown into the mix! Why on earth?

also, i think i have mentioned it some where, but when deleting files from file manager, say from the games folder for example, it deletes and while deleting it goes back to the main folder and then goes back into that folder you are deleting from.
On the k750 and w810 it didnt do this, im guessing its a minor bug....

I also noticed that i couldn't search through my phonebook by typing in a full name. It only allows single letter searches.. Now if i haven't mistaken i remember that in the k750 and w800 fullname searches were possible...
Anyone else with this?
Oh and i also found that file browser bug mentioned above, no matter what letter i press it jumps straight to the others folder.

I can search for as many letters as I want. Just press the letters in a sequence and you will see that it searches for you.
About the total time bug, it's not double for me. Instead it only differs about 40 seconds.
EDIT: They say they have the generic R1CF001 firmware. Look here:

Are you saying that you think this is indeed the new firmware? and T-Mobile (or whoever) just got their branded version out first? Cheers.
