Mr. Gadget ,
im in Belgium too .
Still no firmwares are available for us . I even called up Sony ericsson support center , even they do not have access to firmware updates .
A shame if you ask me , since I do not see a reasoning behind this .

Oh, I thought the phone was supposed to be able to just push ordinary e-mail accounts so that you don't have to schedule downloads. Like just for a pop account. The imap idle works for me, but I just wanted it to automatically notify of new e-mails for my pop account too. Is this possible?
One more question: What does the CDA number mean? Mine has a /1, but I saw someone else post that their number changed from /1 to /2 after an update.

I know in the past, to realize that there is a new firmware upgrade, you would go online and type your curent CDA and you would the release number.
Now I see that you have to go through all the steps, including turning the phone off. Is there a better way to find if you have the lates firmware?

So generic is not branded ? sim free ?

And i know my P990i doesn not have the most recent version ...

With the latest version flashed, the phone seems much more stable, but before this update the WLAN worked ok for me. Now It connects, but I can't surf the net...
Anyone with the same problem?

Hi ya'll,
This is my first post as a p990i owner.
The phone is still not released officially in Australia, but was lucky
to have a friend travelling through Singapore.
So far i've had a good experience.
I didn't walk into this purchase blind, so knew what probs to expect.
I get the KERN errors and the shutting down of software.
Hopefully the ongoing firmware releases will fix the crashing programs.
I'm a newby to Symbian, so have a question.
How can i make a program load automatically during start up.
ie. i like the Swissmanager software and would luv it to be started and kept in memory. Though thats probably a high hope. hehehe
My firmware upgrade to R7A001 went without a hitch.
My phone is unbranded.
