Never restore a non native GDFS. You should only use your own GDFS.

I will do my best to help you

Actually, maybe easier. If you can get a GDFS backup of an Austria A1 P1i then I can extract a script from that.

Does unbranding mean the same as unlocking meaning it can unlock the phone from its carrier or unbranding just changes the generic thingy. Because I just paid $10 to unlock my phone. Next time I'll just use this.

Thanks. the singapore version working fine! SE CS asked me to sent me phone to the service center to flash it when i am working in shanghai.
Told me that it cannot be flash back to the old version. Now i know it is all crabs!
you have done SE a favor and you have made the P1i a great phone!

Is changing CDA completely safe? Is it possible that there is needed customizations for each CDA region - for example - fine tuning for some mobile operator specific problems/features? And changing CDA from region specific code to World Generic will kill all the fine tuning and the phone will be less stable and so on? Sorry if it is known fact.

in principal what you say is possibly true but in my experience I can't recall ever having an issue with an originally unbranded phone, or with one that I have made these sort of CDA changes to to debrand, on any network... and I travel alot too and use all sorts of networks in different countries

Will this work in unbranding a UK O2 branded P1i to generic/unbranded version of the firmware? I wanna flash to the new R9J005/R6F38 firmware, but the O2 version is not on SEUS yet.

Thanks!
