M3 is great software but doesn't support hardcoded subtitles. So the next best software is MediaCoder.
The best setting for for my k610i are xvid simple profile level 3 (300kbps), aac 96kbps, resolution 208x176 and original framerate. The quality is perfect and no stuttering at all.

A truly excellent piece of software! I've just got a K810i (absolutely the same hardware/software as the 800 but with a few design changes) and it works a treat...except the sound quickly gets out of sync with the video when I play the outputted clip either on the phone or on my PC.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

does anyone have audio issues with smartmovie? If I convert a video in smartmovie converter and play it in smartmovie player on my p990 I hear annoying hissing sound in the background. It's less audible if I turn up the volume to the max and if I convert in stereo mode, but it's there nevertheless and still loud enough to be impossible to ignore.
p.s. perhaps it'n not a hissing sound. I don't know the appropriate word in english. It like a bad radio signal when you hear disturbances in the background.
