Hello, Im new to this forum but have been reading all the cool stuff in here and I am very very fascinated by all the discoveries and troubleshootings in here. Well done guys!
Just to share a couple of my experience in this MSI bt key. Now grandfather gonna start his story

I am really a desperado, I never read instruction before doing anything, in exams, setting up hardware and so on and so forth. I bought this key a couple days back and installed once i got home. With trial and error, i managed to set it up and everythign worked perfect with my "MyPicture" and Mobilet. I did not discover FMA then. The detection of MPM with my phone was slow, and i disabled soem of the ports and reserved some that i enabled......then things got worse, my picture is not detecting my phone and i tried to fix it from 10pm till 3 am and i gave up. So after alot of reading in this forum i got it done just now, 15 mins ago. So what i can say for those who still cant get it working is, try this:
1) uninstall your MPM, MyPictures, and XTND Connect
2) reboot your comp
3) if you are planning to install MyPictures, with MPM and XTND, ignore installing the SE communitaing suite provided in the cd, just install MyPictures and then XTND. MPM is quite sensitive, I realised that if you installed the comm suite first then only mypictures, you will not be able to detect your phone after u restart the first time, so i think that u cannot override MPM, hence the solution is, as mentioned, install MyPictures that come with MPM then XTND, now you get everything.
4) enable your com port in mpm so it is same as the com port set in your Widcomm
5) launch mypictures and try to send a file to your phone
6) if it works, then it works forever, i think.
7) install whatever bt programs later as long as it does not use MPM then it will be safe
basically thats what i discover and I hope this can help some of those who really cant fix it even after reading the whole forum. Not sure which is the best program to use as all is useful.

I, too, got confused with installing the Tecom driver (1.2.2.16) supporting picture transfers from phone to PC.
When you get to the part where the software asks for the driver, point it to the OLD driver location/CD. The rest of the settings are similar to the previous installation.
I am now wondering how I can configure it to save the transferred files to a different location other than the default X:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Bluetooth Software\opp. Anyone?

eped- just choose the pic and menu, click 5, send via bt 2, then it will search for the msi. when found, click yes... it will connect and send.
on my second day of using the 1.2.2.16, it wont send (always failed) so i un-installed and re-installed. so far so good.

@619
yeah, i saw the driver that came with tecom, and it won't identify the adapter. but it wouldn't work. so i decided to use the old one. everything's working fine so far.

GOwin : You can change the location of received items if you open up your bluetooth neighbourhood, then click "View my bluetooth services", then right-click on the Information Exchange icon and select properties. There you can specify a location for My Inbox Directory which is where all received files are sent to. Unfortunately, you can't just change the location for pictures. All files you send will go to the directory you specify there.
