@mason, no worries mate. All of us need help from time to time.

My greatest tip that I can offer anyone using S60 phones or any smartphone by that matter is be prudent with installations.

You want to install applications; just remember that the phone working optimum & your contacts & messages are most important. (SubTip: save contacts directly to SIM 1st)

Backup 1st. Then install 1 app at a time. Run it for a few days or even a week to see how your phone performs. It works then backup before your next installation. Why? If you install several apps at once, and something goes wrong with your phone / one app doesnt work you can reasonably isolate what the issue is, and restore from your previous backup. Do this TIP especially with hacked apps, just to be safe.

A good file explorer helps with isolating what files were changed before & after the issue.

Sometimes the system will even warn you that the app ur installing may not function correctly. Seeing this once lead me to my tip above with backup & installations.

Cheers.

OH yeah dont format without fully charging your batter!! Dont ever forget this!!!

@prom1, great!!!!! What would be the main purpose for resetting the phone? and could you recommend any sites to download apps? I was looking for a more functional calender (something like MS office or something similar). As well what other apps are out there that might be useful, or would u recommend some other phone with the capabilities of a palm OS?

Don't buy a phone with Palm OS right now. Treo 650 is great at what it does, but your investment with apps isnt gauranteed to work with the next release of Palm OS based on Linux. They didnt do much with Cobalt OS 6.1 and NO licensee picked it up because of lack of communication & feeback from PalmSource.

Since they've done this before, they may do it again. Wait until something tangible arrives on the market.

S60; there is a really functionable app called Papyrus, by SBSH mobile. Normally I shouldnt link to another forum site, but it shows roughly 6 pages of it going from initial beta offering to full release. It also shows how quickly suggestions and bugs were fixed; roughly 5 days. SBSH's support is incredible. ei. I didnt have a credit card to purchase it when it was fully offered, and the head programmer gave me a license code to register it BEFORE I paid for it. He had full trust in me & I rightfully rewarded that trust by paying for the app as my first credit card purchase.

Their support alone is what I expect from a software company with the likes of Opera but Opera fails in my eyes.

ProfiMail for imap/pop email with html email support along with attachments.

Hi Mason357, w/come to esato, you should try downloading the app straight onto your handset if you dont have a PC with bluetooth or IR.

@prom1 nice handling there mate. Hey you look like tiger woods from that angle lol. Our thread has suddenly come alive:-)
@mason welcome dude. If you have http access you can use opera to browse proper web pages and download directly to the phone using it.

@calltech hi man. I've also got a 6680- nice pic
