Guys I got some new info on the new dual cam. XR4-5
the new dual sensor CAN DO 2000 fps @ full HD or 1000 fps @ 4K!! However they may only opt for the 1st option for various reasons. Both sensors have their own DRAM and couple this with the fusion chip and and Sony have the most advanced camera hardware ever fitted to a mobile device.

I'm curious, Huawei showed off the p20 pro and it's camera around Paris where there's tons of great photo experiences. Could Sony have chosen Beijing for the same reason to demo their new camera?

Nada..nope..No chance.. It's sunday today and still no talk about the supposed new announcement.. I don't believe this ZACKSBUKS guy, not even a bit.. What's his credibility.. I only believe Evan and Ricciolo and Roland.. If they haven't tweeted anything yet, then there's no chance.. IFA it is then..

Edit: Jo that's good info.. 2000 fps? That would be wow.. And 1000fps at 4k?
But time? I think 1000fps at 4k would be limited to the time as of current full hd..

Well that part is from my friend. This part is my pure speculation. The sensor it self might support 4K1000 fps
But it wouldn't be used because of lack of CPU power. Again it's just a guess on my part. Like before some sensors supported 4K at 120fps but it hasn't been used yet. Or it might be just a burst of a second for slow-motion.

cpu shouldnt be the reason because it doesnt work this way, but it would be very interesting move while even sony's pro cameras doesnt support it.

They might go for 2000 FPS FHD for various reasons said the source so I'm not really sure.

On the side note I'm I the only one who wants more control on video options? I would welcome FHD 120-240
And HD 480 FPS options plus some manual fine tuning.

The camera does all the processing and it has nothing to do with with the CPU. As long as the camera can support it and there's enough DRAM it will definitely be possible. Remember the ISO levels of the new dual sensor is unparalleled to anything we've ever seen before on a mobile device so 2000fps is just the natural progression of slow motion video and Sony will be the 1st to implement this of that I'm sure.

Oh to be honest I didn't know that. I always thought CPU or ISP block process the video input.lol.
So that's actually good news
4K slow-motion would really overshadow HD competition. Also 2000FPS FHD would be double the frame rate of what others have.

😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

I cant even imagine that, it is more than 2x slower than current SSM.
But I would rather have 1000 fps Full HD for maybe 2s than 2000fps FHD for shorter time.

How is this possible? Not even Bionz X inside Alpha 9 has all this power.

Now I see why people from Imaging Division say their goal is to go beyond the limits of what's possible.

@Jo If the camera has all this power, I imagine it can record 4K@ 30/ @60 for as long as it does not run out of battery. I mean if you insert a 512GB card too. XZP can resist more than 3h.
