I think the hissing is a "bug" in the hpm-70 earpices, because when I switched to the headphones from my regular stereo, the hissing was gone..

The hissing is there regardless if you connect external earpieces or just use the built in speaker on the back.
Try by starting the media player, but don't play anything. Listen...
If you press play, you'll notice it's still there.
But of course, play loud enough and it will drown in the music.
I often listen to some music in bed on very low level, before i sleep in, and then the hissing is too loud.

I can hear the hissing very clearly using the external speaker, but not untill youve started a song, pause it and the hissing is still there very clearly.
But If I attach the standard headset that came with my K750 all hissing is totaly gone. Seriously. No matter at what sound level. And no matter if I pause or play. Nothing. Nada. Quiet as deep space.
Which is why I could never understand what those complaining about hissing was on about, cause I only listen to music using the standard headset of the K750, never the external speaker, and never the HPM-70 which obviously is somehow also affected by this.
If you got a friend with a k750, try his headset instead, and youl see (or rather hear - nothing)

I updated my HK version of the phone this morning to the new firmware.
Had to restrart the standalone updater once and reboot the machine when it hung the first time I tried it, but other than that, no problem.
