I have a question....

Correct me if I'm wrong....THX

I want to know that......um.....when u are testing the camdriver
which WhiteBalance is used to test the camdriver?

I suggest those testes can list the information of the images
so it can let me(I'm just a beginner) know more about which camdriver has the best quality of image.....

imagine that you saw something hilarius.. and you want to take a picture of that... or you saw in UFO. ... do you have time to adjust the britness to set the iso.. to connect the MXE? to set & adjust the tripod... ????

read the previous posts. and if you roll back 1 page.. you'll that mark-Q post the pictures including exposure value...

... it's 0 ... or preferably to be all 0 or all -0.3 or all +0.3.

being noob imply to read at least the last 100 pages.. not to say.. since post 0... otherwise will piss off everybody here with noob questions.

I'm not pisst of or something.. only tired to reply to noob and undocumented questions. that's it...

Let me clear up something concerning my samples so far.

First the usage of exposure compensation: as I already told I noticed these camdrivers of gxg to regularly underexposure by -0.3 compared to the original camdriver, which I consider a positive detail as too often I had to compensate the exposure - if it had any importance to me (something called bracketing I did back in late 70's already).

So, it's up to everybody to compare versions 7.11 and 8.11 either against the "normal" version or the "-0.3" version. Those two alternative exposures are included just as reminders, there is this slight difference.

Secondly I got the idea of setting White Balance to Cloudy, just of pure curiosity; would there be any "undiscovered" change of values. This was just as a step from the MXE-60 issue (=nobody had delivered samples taken with it, as far I have noticed anyway).

And while we are discussing the White Balance, let me show the color corrected version, just to see how off the rendering of "Cloudy" was in this occasion. The color correction was made with QPCard and it's correction software. Read more: www.qpcard.com

Waaaa! I've tested 7.11 from gxg with MXE-60, and the difference i can easily find is that, the pics won't get all white (too overexpose) when taken in bright condition, not as with 7.7 or other camdrivers. It seems there is an expose-regulator in camdriver.
Sorry for not posting pics, as network here too bad, and furthermore, i don't install patch for putting camdriver in memory card.
But 8.11 is different, still overexpose when using MXE in bright condition.

so... shall i understand that it's much more better?

8.11 doesn't matter anymore.. it was a public test...

try 7.11 and make your necesary sugesstions.

8.11 will be removed from my links. until further notice.

@ mark did you receive my email? what do you think about it? please reply when you have time.

@gxg

Why did you decide to abandon 8.11? I can see from the tests that Mark made that it makes better looking pictures than 7.11. 8 is slightly darker and with more natural colours.
Anyway, it's your decision. I like your approach to creating the driver. I agree that we will be using the driver not in laboratory conditions, but in real life. I often use my phone at parties, so I don't have time to turn on different modes, adjust brightness, etc.
Keep up the good work, guys

7.7final(are not so natural colors ,are more yellow....who said that 7.11 make more yelllow photos he is wrong!)

and here where more yellow is in 7.7final....not in 7.11 like somebody said!
