I wonder with all the various tablets Sony are going to release if they will have a followup to the Tablet P that fixes the flaws of the original. It would have to involve a flexible OLED display, but Sony have been working on those for many years and even announced one not too long ago, although it wasn't of the highest resolution.
If I did have to make a wish on a Sony product I think could take the mobile market by storm, it'd be a phone/tablet all in one. Basically picture 2 Galaxy notes slapped together with a single display on one side for phone use, but when you want to have a larger screen for tablet use you just fold it open like the Tablet P and presto! Single large screen tablet inside! Yeah, yeah, I know we're still a fair bit off from such a device, but of all the companies out there, I think only Sony and Samsung are likely to be the first to put one on the market. I'm just hoping it'll be Sony.
This one from the below link sounds exactly like the phablet you have wished!! But this is still very far away from making it to the market.

I think the image resolution would be up to 16/17 megapixels and the lenses would be composed of more lenses like iSight. Plus, video would be recorded in maximum 1080p at 120 fps. Consider this as a wild guess or a fragment of my imagination.

Lol, yeah I saw that. Problem is so long as such a device doesn't have a single continuous screen, I don't think it will be popular. A true phone and tablet all in one should be immensely popular I think. Anyways, that's just a dream for now.
So anything else to share randomuser, or have we reached out allotment of secrets for now?

No 1080p @ 120fps in the near future. But you're kinda right with the rest of your post.

It's fascinating how an ordinary member who reads Chinese forums can become an insider all of a sudden. How many so called insiders have we had the last couple of years? It seems our hunger for rumors create them.
Sorry randomuser but until I see something you say come true you are just another avmaxfan to me.

I never claimed I am an insider, Did I?

Nor am I claiming my posts to be 100% true. And as for whether people should trust what I post or not, they are free to read this entire thread and cross check whether whatever info I posted turned out true or not. For eg. Xperia SL, Xperia SX and a whole lot more.

My guess is that Exmor R is the mobile version of the original Exmor, but infact Exmor R is the Sony brand name of their version of back-illuminated CMOS sensor, there's no relation to the original Exmor sensor Sony use on their other CE products...
Exmor RS is in my guess the Stacked version of Exmor R... so it's the mobile stacked Exmor...
but don't confuse, the Exmor R isn't just a mobile version of Exmor, it's just Sony brand name for back-illuminated CMOS sensor...
Regarding the Sony move toward Stacked sensor and hopes for higher quality...
While it's possible, as they can use the space saved from the circuit to increase the size of the original sensor.. but I think Sony will make the sensor bigger with higher resolution.. so it will have the exact same dpi but the Stacked nature will allow them to have more space for the sensor and produce the same sensor with smaller size = lower cost...
Sadly Sony doesn't look that much into lower dpi in sensors, even thought this can help increase the quality and lower noise, but in the same time it costs more ( lower dpi means larger sensor for the same MP count ), the only tech I know that really helped decrease the noise without increase the sensor size is the back-illumination tech. which is just moves the sensor circuit to the back of the photo-diode letting the later have more light that was blocked before by the circuit...
Sony Sensors are very good, they're used in best the best camera known smartphones like iPhone and GS3 ( both iPhone 4s and GS3 uses the same Sony sensor ), but what changes is the camera software which every company works hard to improve it... Sony learned well but they need more work to be the best...

Well clearly a lot of people do think you are one, and you seem to like it (avmaxfan did too lol). Don't give people false hopes is all I'm saying. You should write that it is rumors from china. In my experience very little from there is true. It's a good source for pictures though
