"Improved algorithm", same thing last year with Z1 then Z2.

Except the Z2 has tangibly improved camera performance over the Z1. Its not as good as it could be, but the improvement is there.

If true, that makes the 7mm profile rumor of z3 a reliable one.
regarding the z3's design, i give up to a month from now until leaked pictures of the new devices start coming and also videos of a tester unit. sony's no leak policy is not invincible as we seen with z2 leaks.

While it may not be invincible, I feel it is doing much better than Apple's policy, which a lot of new iphone photos leaking left and right.
I'm personally looking forward to this rumoured 7 inch tab, if it arrives at ifa that is.
As for this improved sensor, hopefully this time around the software has been improved a lot more and perhaps the imaging team from Japan helped out.
