I'm totally confused, is this 7300 GS an Nvidia card ? ie. Geforce 7300GS ??
Mine is an Geforce 6600 256MB PCiE card and it cost me arnd 6k bucks when i bought it ! How can a 7300GS card be only 3500 ????? Did video card prices drop down all of a sudden ??

Killer...7300 is the new version of 6300 & the new version of 6600 is the 7600.
Hence the 7300 is cheaper.
6200;6300;7200;7300;X300;X1300 etc can be called low buget GFX cards.
6600;6800;7600;7800;X600;X700;X1600;X1700 etc, high buget GFX cards.
7900/7950 & X1900/X1950 etc, Ulta high.

has, you are right about it only in Indian standards,
62xx,72xx,73xx,X13xx are low end
76xx,X16xx are all mid range
X17xx,all the gs and le's of 7800,7900 ,X18xx,X19xx are high mainstream or mid end.
7900,X19xx high end's
SLI,Crossfire combination and 7950 are uber high end's.
k4,
your card is an old mid end warrior,its intro'd long back.
Gfx market undergoes major refresh by 6 months.

so, 7900GST is the best available in the market? how much do they cost?
or is it suggested that you go for the 7900GS? basically you have to look for cards which support DDR3, am i mistaken?
