Tahir, my brother from another mother... Will the W800i be branded? The one I played with on the weekend was unbranded and on closer inspection the much maligned orange cover doesn't look too bad.

Went to the main Virgin megastore in central London yesterday, between Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road.
The store is promoting the RAZR and Nokia 6230 with very attractive prices,on condition that you purchase £60 calltime with the handset:
1. RAZR: £99.99 (R1153!!)@ this afternoon's exchange rate of £1= R11.53
2. 6230: £89.99 (R1038!!)
Not too shabby,hey?
@ Kryptik,
Truth be told, I am developing a bad cold, but I think I will still be going in to work,as I would be missing very important in-service training...BUT I will make it to the show later tomorrow afternoon; I stay close enough to the Excel Exhibition Centre anyway.

@wanqsta: Are those two phones branded? From reading reports on Esato and other sites I've got serious misgivings about the Razr-mostly UI speed and it's 5MB memory.
BTW what's the price of a S700 considering it's successor will be announced soon?

@ da brixsta,
Virgin usually do have some branding, but not as bad as say,Vodafone. My old Sagem myX-5 had a small Virgin Mobile logo at the bottom of the handset, and had Virgin start-up and shut-down stuff.Nothing too major.
Having said that,I did not see any on the 2 demo phones (6230 and RAZR)in the store.
Will try find out tomorrow to be sure re branding on these 2 specific phones.
It'll cost about £10 to unlock them as well.
The S700i is quite scarce around here now. They usually go for around £160 upwards with branding, and a relatively expensive £200 for sim-free.In other words, virtually the same price as the K750!(And more than a D500,or branded 6680,for that matter...)

@ skhuu,
Thanks for that, mhlekazi. Will try upload pics of all the goods and attractions on show ASAP.
I try to regularly update this forum with special offers here in the UK,particularly sim-free and PAYG specials,so that if people know of anyone reliable currently in the UK who could bring a phone at a much better price back into the country, even with the exchange rate, then they should be very up-to-date with what's on offer.

Have a blast at the Show, bhuti. And if by any stroke of luck the P990 is mentioned or displayed (who knows...) do try to determine the screen size vs P910i. Since the issue's been raised in the P990 thread it's been intriguing me...
