Thanks DexterMoser.
I am more in a hurry than you are...
First I am on iphone 3Gs and I am hurried to join the 21st century!
Second, Docomo is killing me, they currently offer $400 cashback if I take the Fujitsu F-06E, which is a snapdragon 600 phone, but nice bullt quality, 5.2 inch IPS panel in a body slightly smaller than Z1, 3020 mah battery, 2GB ram, 64GB + micro sd option, IPS5/8/X, one seg/full seg built in antena, fingerprint sensor...
Offer limited through time, not sure what to do as the lure of money is very strong!

@shotokan That's a really nice discount! I have to admit, hard to ignore! If you don't need all the extra horse power, than I say go for the Fujitsu! For me, I needed it because I plan on using the TV out feature on the phone, plan to output HD videos to my TV. I primarily watch anime on my phone, which usually is in MKV and/or uses 10-bit encoding. Which is a pain to watch on my Nexus 4 because of audio delay and/or lagg due to the phone only using software decoders, meaning the slower the CPU, the more lagg and delay there are. With the S800, I haven't experience these problems yet. Now, of course, if the design of the Z1 and the SONY brand appeals to you, by all means, get what you want.

@MNX1024,
Z1 does not have good video codec support. ITs one of the reason I believe that it has much lower video playback time as compared to other phones. I was hoping they would have improved it this time because s800 does support it natively. Mxplayer is a very good alternative in this case but it does use up more battery.

@djinn I do use MXplayer. I'm just mentioning that the decoder used for the encoding method of most anime files are software based since there's no hardware support for it on the SoC themselves. From what I know, S800 is no exception, I could be wrong so don't quote me on this. Anyway, getting back on topic, the remedy for this, is software decoding, but that requires a lot of horsepower. Which luckily the S800 can provide so far.

Thanks for the link rency. So we find out some interesting facts about Z1 camera.
1. Z1 will get full manual control in a later update.
2. Z1 camera was indeed developed by Sony Cybershot & Alpha team
3. Z1 has a dedicated BIONZ Image processor and does not rely on S800 as we had thought.
4. Z1 uses pretty much the same components as the flagship Sony Cybershot camera for 2013 - Cybershot HX50V

Your missing my point. I think that benchmarking bears no relation to everyday use. I only installed AnTuTu after reading that particular post and like I said I have now uninstalled it and will probably never use it again.
My GN3 works really well in everyday use and im sure the XZ1 does aswell.

Benchmarks mean nothing to me not bothered. What I care about is that a phone does what I want and well. The XZ1 does just that, who cares for a few extra points over the other phones??

I took some lovely autumn shots today and in sunlight Z1 shines

There is a few blurry spots but that will be sorted in updates. Have uploaded them in Z1 photo thread

Well, so much for competition, it's a win-win for both. I also do not believe in benchmarks, it's a case to case basis on whether how a person uses his/her phone.
To all, you're welcome. It's now worth downloading the press kit whenever Sony releases new phones. Read and read. But i'm still up to opening the Xperia Z1 in teardown and make it being analyzed by Chipworks. With that, we can tell the real innards of this powerful machine that we love.
