I think the latest firmware(R5) has made auto-focus much better.I get more focused pictures than with early firmwares.

@satcha,Thanks I love flowers,plants and trees and love taking pictures of them...each is unique and amazes me.Now that my pictures impressed you,am looking forward to see some through your phone.

@jonathan488,stunning pictures!!

Some pictures i took early this morning after my night duty.

@jonathan488 and dr.thug
lovely photos guys but i also have the latest firmware update and every photo i take that is NOT a close-up has a huge blurred area in the middle and vice-versa...

settings are fine, max size, autofocus on, auto light setting etc (all normal)
and i'm taking photos in beautiful sunshine.... what's wrong and why can't i get my autofocus to work like yours? thanks, toby

@toby23,Thanks Btw,about the blurred area in the center...try cleaning the lens with an earbud with light moisture on it.Then clean it with a dry earbud. Don't think its a firmware issue

Hi and thanks toby23

I was also going to suggest what dr_thug suggested. I know that my lense often gathers dust and dirt as I sometimes flip the cover open while playing with the phone in my pocket!....that doesn't sound right but I think you know what I mean!

Those pictures I took were on the previous firmware to latest.
