I was offered these two UPGRADE deals which I think are shit:

-- 300min 100txt..
-- 30 quid a month
-- 150 for phone
-- 12month contract

or….

-- for 300min and 250txt (12p per text)
-- 37 quid month
-- 150 for phone

Are there any better upgrade deals out there now?

The thread is littered with deals people were offered. It seems on upgrade unless you're a big spender they will not really budge. The best deals are in store by the sounds but this often means a new contract and a new number.

Doesn't have to be a new number, as long as its a different network (or network 'provider') just request a PAK code and you can move your number over - the new network shouldn't care and will give you the same 'new customer' deal.

Having said that once you request your PAK code (I had to write a letter, print it out and post it to O2...) your existing provider will phone you up and offer you a much better deal.
I go through this rigmarole every year, and most times I end up staying with the same provider due to the post-PAK-code-deal, which they could have just offered me in the first place.

its just a code your current service provider gives you so you can take your number to a new network.
