@zyavar

After the firmware upgrade and data restore, though I had checked 'unified inbox', an error message of some sort (don't exactly remember the details) about the inbox restore failing appeared.

When I opened the Messaging application, my POP3 email account (yes, only one account) had disappeared. However, in Step 2 of 3 in the the Storage Wizard, I could see that Messaging had about 9 MB of data which did not make sense as I only had a few SMS in my inbox.

I then tried a partial restore, i.e. with everything unchecked except 'unified inbox'. Result - my POP3 account appeared in the Messaging application and I can now use email as before.

Good luck.

Since updating to the new firmware I am having a problem with the video player. If you play a video, switch to full screen and then adjust the volume by using the scrollwheel the video player crashes in a strange way. This is completely reproducible and happens every time for any video on my phone. Note, it only happens if you adjust the volume in full screen mode. If you don't adjust the volume or switch back to normal mode before adjusting the volume everything works fine.

When the video player crashes, the sound on the video continues, but the video picture freezes and the area under the volume dialog that appears remains white when the dialog closes. Then the whole user interface of the phone slows down to a snails pace and remains this way even if you kill off the video player with task manager/swiss manager. The only way to resolve the problem is a reboot.

Is it just me that has this problem due to some corruption or do others see this? If it's just me I'll try a master reset and an update again.

I´m afraid is just you...people have the opposite experience with the video player: it doesn´t hang has before when advancing, it doesn´t crash, you can change sound and the video keeps running, even with files over 200mb

@bjorne...what problems related to the firmware itself??? problems reported are related to the pc backup aplications or SEUS...the firmware itself has no particular problems

No, it's not just you
I experienced the very same thing yesterday... but I realised that this only happens when i have a theme other than the default one loaded.
In other words, the problem went away when I switched back to the default theme.

Hope this helps.

This is very strange. I just tried the video player again and now everything is working fine. I don't think I'm going insane but you never know

It definitely exhibited the problem I described in my previous post, directly after the update on Tuesday, and I rebooted the phone several times to see if the problem would go away and it didn't. But magically it now seems to have fixed itself! Maybe the problem only appears if you use the video player while some other program is active (Opera for example) I need to do some more investigation.

is your current theme one of the preinstalled ones?
Well, what happened with mine was .... I did not have that problem after the firmware update until I installed a theme. The problem went away as soon as I switched back to the default one.
