hi AbuBasim,
thank you for the link, by the way, just wondering, what does it have anything to do with my CPU consumption that it refused to re-charge? i thought it was because that the device is getting a little too hot, and that when recharging, it will go beyond the limit temperature, hence it stopped recharging?
another question mate, what's the baud rate you set for your GPS in COM4?
default is 4800.......
thanks for the enlightment mate!
I think you're right about the overheating causing problems with charging.
GPS: As I recall the speed is 4800 baud on COM4. I don't use the GPS. I have not been able to find any maps covering Oman. I tried it once with Google Maps just to check it out and that was working fine but is otherwise not an option to "offline" maps in the phone.

Just had my voda version delivered but i cant get the bloody battery cover off! Anyone know the best way to do it? im scared of breaking it.
With my TyTN II I got a small paper showing almost the same thing as masseur described: hold the phone face down with the top pointing away, then push down the top left corner with your left thumb and the lower right corner with your right thumb, then slide up away from you.

It was not a "small paper" but the Read Me First poster:

it really doesn't work easily the way HTC suggest and like I said, if feels like you are crashing the device (especially with the right hand)
the original TyTN was better as it had a little latch at the bottom and when you slid that the battery cover popped up enough to lift up

@masseur,
Maybe we have different versions as my TyTN II feels very solid in the corners.

sure its solid but the thing is that pressing with that right hand also presses one of the buttons on the front, and its hard to avoid pressing them as they go right to the edge.
I just don't fancy the buttons being pressed in too hard

thanks for the pointers guys! finally managed to get it off using a combination of nails under the edges and a bit of pushing and pulling.

quick question that may have been answered before:
I have transferred my contacts from my sim to the phones contacts but the sim contacts still show up. Is there any way of hiding these or do i need to wipe them off my sim? Thanks

GriZZla1024: if you want to hide sim contact there is KaiserTweaks or a patch named KaiserSimFix.CAB (google finds it

)
Two days ago i decided to try a Kaiser myself. First hour i wanted to sell it right away. Then i have done some "personalisation" and went to sleep. When i picked it up next morning i fell in love with it.. This is my first WM phone and i must say it "seems" kind of slow, but once you see what you can do with it you forget about it.
I have a question though.. (My screen / backlight won`t go off)
If its plugged to AC or not .. after 1 min it dimms and then it stays so.. i have to "lock it / 1 press on power button" to turn it off.
I havent found solution to it (i dont want to install a custom ROM to make it work).
Anyone?

look in start > settings > system tab > backlight
what settings do you have in the "battery power" and "xeternal power" tabs?
