How to get away with loud bike exhaust pipes when the cops (in their new BMW estate) are about:

Wait until they get a phone call and then get away...quickly. :

lol that is a great shot mate! Still i cant understand what the problem is with a bit of noise pollution...if anything it allows other road users to know that you are coming so they better watch out, perfect as a means of alerting those kids with their iPods who dont look when they cross the road gggrrr!

Took this pic last night:

That's a bril sunset pic, 5nak3.
Nice composition etc.

As regards loud pipes, yeah they save lives indeed.

Just sold the TL1000S to get something a bit more pillion-friendly, so might look out for a VFR800, Blackbird, Thunderace or something similar. A 'Busa would be nice, but can't push the finances that far if I intend keeping my Kawasaki as well.
Oh well, should have something by next weekend, hopefully.

Maybe you could pick up a Busa second hand? I think you might be able to find one much cheaper second hand, also you looking for any style in particular? You could get a Harley styled bike which generally are really nice to sit on and comfy but I guess a sports bike is what you are after.

I found the Yamaha 660 XTX is alright for pillion wasn't that expensive to run, but exhausts are a bit too close to the pillions leg though and also it is only a 50bhp bike, so not as big or as fast as some of the ones you are looking for.

If a Busa is too expensive you considered a GSX-R? I’ve only seen them in passing never had a chance to sit on one, I guessing a 750cc or even the litre ones would be cheaper than a Busa and from what I’ve been told they pack a punch as well.

Yeah, I was referring to a used Hayabusa. They go for 3.5k and up for a decent one. The Kawasaki I bought new, so don't want to go for anything too costly for a second bike.
Just phoned a guy in Kettering who's selling a VFR800 for a damn good price. I enjoy sports bikes so the closest I'll get to anything cruiser-styled will be a retro-styled bike like a Suzuki 1200 Bandit. Damn nice riding position for around London too.

GSXR's etc wouldn't have nearly the same pillion comfort as a VFR, ZZR1100, Bandit or Blackbird for that matter. Also, I'm planning to put hard luggage on the thing for touring, which would be a cardinal sin to put on a GSXR or something of that race-rep ilk.
