old firmware could randomly skip to a new track by shaking yes, but none (other than prototype FW) could skip forward and backwards through a tracklist by flicking to one side.

Perhaps I should have made that more clear in my last post.

No, this has always been possible as far as I know. My R1DA038 firmware does this, and it was always reported as being able to do this in reviews, etc.

Thanks F.B. for your feedback. I will do some more research to see why my w910i is eating battery like crazy. I will post my findings if i am able to find the cause.

I also found something interesting in SE-NSE forums. In this thread here a user has posted a list of firmwares generated directly from SEUS data. Here is the list for w910:

W910: R1CA039 R1DA038 R1DA039 R1EA030 R1EA033 R1EC001 R1ED001

So how come we cannot update to R1ED001? Am I missing something here?

OMG R1ED001. Where the hell is that for? Anyone on T-mobile uk had any luck updating from R1DA038 yet?

One this that i am wondering, are SE going to update the w910i and k850i to use the new menu layouts.

Still waiting for my replacement handset after my w910i decided that the left soft key going bright red was all that the handset wanted to do.

R1EE001 are you sure?? AE033 was only a week or so ago, then there was EC01, and now your reporting EE :S What network are you on?

Could you take a picture or the service menu, just to prove that this is possible. Not calling you a lier, it's just that it's really hard to believe.

Yes actually i was mistaken i accidently wrote r1ee, meant to write r1ec001, i have no idea why i wrote ee wtf....sorry bout that.

Anyway leme repeat myself so the question gets across:

R1EC001, i guess thats the latest version is it good or bad or what?
Apparently i havent been getting any problems, maybe a couple of times it freezes and some slow-downs, which is a minor thing, not much big things happened on the phones, so is this ok?

BTW im on Orange network.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So, if you do not have any major problems, then yes, it is good. And as I have already posted, that version is one of the latest versions according to the SEUS data. You should be fine.

"if it ain't broken, don't fix it"... I certainly like to update all my software/firmware. Be it broken or not. There's a reason for updates, they don't just put it up for the sake of it.

SE can suck my big fat ****. Expected so much more from this bloody phone. It's going to be last time I get a phone from them. Bloody thing has so many imperfections if it was a person it'll be uglier than a camel's arse.

I have a very strange problem with this phone. After upgrading the phone to R1EA030 the bluetooth connection with my car (HFP profile) goes down after a short and random period. It is impossible to retrieve the call, or turn the bluetooth off for a while. I can only reconnect after a soft reset.

I upgraded to R1EA033, and the problem is still there.

I got the a SonyEricsson Service Centre, got my phone reflashed to R1EA033 from scratch (they claimed it might solve the problem) and the problem is still there.

My W910i is sitting on my bedside table and I downgraded myself to my reliable z610i.

Do any of you experience any problem with the bluetooth stack? Do any of you have any idea of how to tackle this problem? Is there a way of downgrading the phone to a reliable firmware version (reliable as far as Bluetooth HFP profile is related)?
