Can someone verify with the new firmware if the screensaver only comes on in the stanby/home screen and if there are transitions when scrolling through email message headers or scrolling through contacts in the phonebook?

Just my 2 cents review of this new firmware I updated.

The startup loading speed is slightly faster by about 10 seconds.

The updating of music files is slightly faster.

Camera focus is faster.

Green tint is still there.

Freehand touch sensitive line on the screen is now black with white outline.

The middle arrow when in free hand mode is now transparent rather than black.

Screen is slightly more sensitive.

Shut down time is slightly faster.

Keyboard is slightly bigger, not really a big difference, but slightly bigger, which is good.

USB connection screen; the charge batter and display options are now under the more button.

Haven't try with the volume though.

PDF+ 1.75 is not included.

SMS loads faster, more pictures to choose from (or was it the same?).

There are some other minor improvements, mostly with the speed.

If they had, why would it still be available for GW2?

why would it not be available for gw1 then?
I bet there are 1000times more GW1 users than gw2 (original unflashed devices)

I hear what you're saying, but I don't think SE would take the attitude that there aren't as many GW2 users as GW1 if there was a serious problem...

It could be a completely altruistic gesture - to make it easy for us debranders to have the choice.......no sorry that's stupid isn't it.....

No, neither am I

Actually, I think is has something to do with certain incompatibilities, with older than the latest version of the pcsuite & the downloadable language packs as mentioned by @Robis, this could mean that there's yet another version on the horizon. I seem to remember there wes at least one fast reupdate with the p990 - so much for beta testing, oh - I guess that's US isn't it?
