Man some ppl are never happy. I couldn't even read post page 4 when someone complained that it doesn't have WiMax. WiMax in a cellular phone platform is feasible but if you think WiFi google electro Juice ... just wait until you have WiMax in the mix. Wi-Max is FAR FAR away from being ubiquitous in the USA let alone the rest of the world. Sprint USA is still trialling in the market of Chicago with Motorola; still months away from full roll out. However, finding WiFi is easy as pie. You can STILL find more open-access WiFi HotSpots than WiMax anywhere in the world, and it seems that most WiMax implementations across the world are STILL not fulfilling their original promise: To enable a Highspeed wireless LAN connection over narrow field width, 30miles away from the base station.
Great Job SE on this product.
PS is anyone else bothered that someone from the Windows Mobile fan camp just begun posting about hwo HTC is making this for SE ... just to steal SE's glory?! IF HTC is I still say this is an SE product because their design an innovation went into this. It screams SE heart & soul.

still at least 6 months to wait according to peterkay
not according to peterkay - according to SE. all of their materials say X1 ships second half of 2008. sigh.
says second half 2008 and that starts in 4.7 months, peterkay mentioned a few posts ago we'll have to wait at least 6 months,
from what i have seen from
in the past i am guessing it will hit the shelves at the beginning fo Q4. anyone else wants to wildly guess?

PK has stated before that most of what he says this far in advance is an estimate. However, that seems like a very good estimate when comparing the time spans from announcements to releases for high profile devices such as this. Even the iPhone had a six month wait. It's normal.

Does windows mobile have more applications than uiq
tons more than symbian
the best things about windows mobile 6 over symbian are
1. OS is more open and hence more options at customisation
2. brilliant third party applications. For eg: see
http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/
They have the best application list, but this is just a miniscule of what is available
3. PC sync is amazing ( via usb. Bluetooth still buggy)
issues i have seen
1. stability wise , wm6 still lags a long way behind symbian and even the uiq3 is better
2. requires faster processor and hence more battery usage
3. interface is not great but can me molded
4. OS is much slower than symbian
MOST OF THE ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED IN WM6.1 and an announcement in this regard is expected in this congress
the leaked images of wm6.1 looks amazing

I'm quite impressed with this one, 3" screen, have always loved QWERTY sliders, and I do understand the implementation of WM6 instead of UIQ4, probably to balance out new hardware with a tested OS. Connectivity is great with microSD, mini usb and 3.5mm jack that's been here for a while already though, just something SE finally picked up. Quite curious how the panels work, coz it might just make all the difference and put SE up there again in innovation. Feedback on processor and RAM seems promising. But I guess G900 really surprised me, a full touchscreen candybar, I'm sure no one saw that coming and if it's stable and affordable enough, it'll be a sure hit without a doubt. All that being said, I'm just happy the P-series is here to stay
