I can easy get two days with average use on this phone, Battery life is very good, texting is very good, and you can download apps such as the scandinavian keyboard and the handscent sms apps for more keyboards. All in all a very good device. Screen can be hard to see but no worse than the Satio, but the screen protecor makes the screen harder to see than without it.

I guess rikken answered your question about messages
I have had my x10 mini for only 2 days, so I canīt really comment on the battery life. I guess at least for first 2-3 weeks you should expect a little shorter battery life, since you have to get to know your phone. Iīm not too worried about the battery, the phone is just great!

You shoud be able to use the zoom through the volume buttons on the right side of the phone.
I thought the x10 mini does not have zoom.

Can anyone tell me what the picture quality is like of your contacts in Timescape? I have taken some photos of my friends using this phone and assigned them to their contact details but the pictures that come up in Timescape (if for example I get a missed call) are a really bad quality, nothing like the original picture taken. Any responses/help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Anyone?
I don't have the X10 mini yet but I think the pic quality on the contacts was intended by SE to looked that way to incorporate it to the total looked of the UI.

@ ell - Haven't really taken much notice to be honest. I don't see it as a big deal unless you can't recognise the person...
As far as I can see the photo it shows is bigger than the one you see using a PC and Facebook?

@ Titus. Are you saying
makes things look bad to suit the overall impression. That means that the UI is bad looking. Is it?

Well like Miss UK said the newer
icons are dull they are all white & quite boring looking imo too
If you get a white theme they look terrible
